We Finally Launched Our First Net Bila Net – NBN Digital Library

This is a short post to thank all of you who supported us at Net Bila Net to launch our very first digital library at Dandora Hip Hop City for Ndoto Zetu kids.

This space will be used by the kids to access educational resources as they would if they were using Google.

We are running on a system called World Librarians which uses low cost technological solutions such as RACHEL, Keepods, Refurbished computers, etc.

Many thanks to students, faculty and friends of UMass Amherst led by Prof. Charlie Schweik, Kate Marchetti, Elizabeth Buckner and others who helped us in the fundraising efforts.

We also want to thank Carl Meyer from Shift IT, Malawi for training the NBN team to implement the World Librarians system.

Indeed, never underestimate the power of a small group of dedicated people.
